Hi all

Our garden is very long the fences are brown apart from the replaced fence panels in first section of garden which is black and has artificial plants at top neighbour put on her side which we really don't like the view of. The garden is south facing I basically want a plant that will cover the WHOLE fence that will survive winter, any ideas? Has to be evergreen, I did think about ivy but my DH said no, he doesn't like it. Whatever we have has to be quick growing though

TIA

We have a massive laurel hedge which seems to grow like something in a jungle. it is green and thick all year round. If you buy which big plants that might be a good start to it too.

Artificial plants sound awful so not surprised you want them covered up on your side.

I grow honeysuckle, clematis and passionflowers up my fence. They filled the height of the whole stretch in a summer, so if you plant plenty of them it shouldn't take long. Whilst they don't flower in winter, they are still pretty green here (Cornwall) all year round. Add in various bushes along the stretch as well if you can? Roses etc can be a good filler.
