Keeping lupin neat

I have been in my house for a few years with a lovely mature garden and I am only getting to learn about each plant as the seasons have passed.

I have a beautiful purple lupin that I just don't know how to control, it gets so massive over the summer time and the wind will have it all shapes.

What is my best approach for keeping this plant tame / neat? Or is this just how it is?

I use a plant support for lupins, a grid type on legs, which keeps it upright. Put the support in place early so that the plant grows through it. Cut off any loose foliage. Lupins are lovely plants as long as they’re kept under control.
