Self seeded annuals & cold snap

Lots of fallen seeds from last summer’s annuals have already germinated and are growing in my borders. I thought this was great! But now we have a cold snap coming, do I need to cover for a few days with horticultural fleece or just leave and accept they’ll die in the very likely coming frosts? Thanks

I leave mine, they can be remarkably hardy as they’re self selecting where and how they grow.

I think I got lots of poppies that had come up end of autumn and now I've noticed a linaria that's almost in flower. Strange times.
