Any idea what this rogue plant/seed thing is?

It's growing in a pot with some other plants. It seems to be growing from a large seed/shell, about 1.5 inches long, that I definitely didn't sow.

I'm intrigued about how it got there and what it could be!

TIA!

Peach tree. Very common in compost heaps

Wow, it must have been dropped in the container by a bird!

Thanks so much for the quick identification!

If u have an iPhone. Take a photo and look for the i button in the circle under the photo u took. If u press on that it will ask u to look up the plant and will tell u what it is from the photos.

Be very cautious with this. Although plant id apps are improving all the time, they are simply matching pictures and have no botanical knowledge, and when they get it wrong (and they can be very wrong) they don’t have any clue they’re wrong and present the answer with total confidence. They also tend to have a US bias.
