Will a mimosa survive in a north facing position?

I need a pretty tree for a position close to the house (about 2m away). Ideally evergreen and ideally flowering. Would a mimosa survive.

Its north west facing. gets some evening sun. Would have two walls to the east and south giving some shelter (although wind comes in from the west). Located in the Midlands

I'm guessing it probably won't

Sorry, I think in the Midlands it’d be just too cold in the winter. I have one in my porch which is bright but no direct sun, it does well. If the temperature in there gets around freezing it’ll drop the odd ferny leaf cluster, but it never goes lower than that in that room.
My most optimistic guess is that it might come back from the roots after the top growth dies from a frost, but then it’d not really be evergreen, or flower.
