Pruning young Arabian nights lavender

Hi, looking for some advice please.

last spring, I bought some Arabian nights lavender in 3 L pots from the local nursery and lined my garden path with it, it looked gorgeous! I was advised to wait until early spring/just before spring to prune it.

So all of the dead flower spikes are still on there… Do I just snip these off, to bring them in line with the “bushy bit”? Or maybe I need to do something else? And would you say now is the right time?

I’m in Scotland and we had Frost this morning. South facing garden.

Thanks :)

Hopeful bump !

I think I’m going to trim the flower spikes tomorrow , just down to the top of the bushy bit or slightly below

Yes, prune off all the spent flower spikes, and also remove any straggly/dead branches.
