Best Compost..

We've made up some raised beds and have been filling with various bits, lined with cardboard etc and now need to top it all off with compost and soil. Is it worth buying the huge great big bags? Or just grab a load from B&Q? I probably need about 13 x 50L sacks. It's an expensive business setting up a veg patch but hopefully next year we'll have plenty of our own home made stuff to work with!

Depending how big they are you'd probably be best with a load of topsoil delivered from a local building supplier & then a few bags of compost for the top. Sylvagrow meant to be best-compost in general has been woeful the last few years. Get a few bags of we'll rotted manure to dig in too
