Any views on how to prune this Sarcococca? It has been hidden by other plants for a few years and grown into a very lopsided shape. I don't mind it being a little uneven but ideally would like it to be a little more uniform.

It smells like heaven mind! So not all bad.

Wait until early spring.
Then I’d be brave and remove one of the “legs” at a bud, close to the base. If it’s happy with that, and grows away nicely from the bottom, then next year, remove another one. Year after, remove the last one. That way the whole structure ends up youthful. The problem is they’re quite slow growing.

Alternatively, turn the pot so the bald side gets all the light in the hope it’ll bush out on that side, and support it in hopes it’ll start to straighten itself up, and just under plant it with dwarf daffs etc to hide the legginess.

@WobblyLondoner I'd wait a few more weeks and then take it out of the pot, shake some of the soil off, then replant with fresh compost in a more upright position.

Thanks both. I'm planting up a new border in a few weeks and will try and tuck it in somewhere there.
