Advice on planting bare root trees

I have three bare-root trees that arrived the other day. The weather has been miserable, so today is the first time I'm able to plant them.

However. It's due to freeze tonight and for the next few days. Friday is the next time it will be above freezing at night.

The other confounding factor is that we go away for 4 weeks next Sunday so Friday would be the last time I'd be able to plant them for a month.

Is it better to wait till Friday or will it be OK to plant them now? They're still hibernating.

The roots will be better protected in the ground, so unless the soil is either frozen or waterlogged, plant them now.

Great, thanks. I did put them in, and the soil was very easy to work. Planted them just in time for snow to cover the ground today!
