ideas for veg plot whilst away for Mar - June

I'm moving abroad to be with my partner for three months March to June. I'm not sure what to do with the veg patch while I'm gone. I've got no one coming into look after the garden so the obvious one is to put card and mulch down and deal with it when I get back but any better suggestions for not letting it go to ruin? It's only 3m x 3m so not huge.

Could you puts some garlic and onions in now? Maybe some maincrop potatoes before you go? Obviously you won’t be able to
do anything when gone but typically you would harvest those in July onwards when you get back.

Potatoes
Cabbages
Cauliflower
Turnip/swede

Basically something you can put in and leave.

Sow some flowers if you want so you get lots of bees and butterflies.
Annoy your neighbours and sow a 3*3 area of catnip.

Maybe sow some green manure?

I second green manure.

I was also going to say green manure it. It’s a good opportunity for the soil
