DH got me a lovely bouquet just before Christmas and it contained this beautiful rose.

I haven't been able to take a picture which shows it's real colour and it is pinker than it looks here. I would call it a dusty pink or antique pink.

Does anyone here know what it could be?

It's beautiful, does it have a scent?

TonTonMacoute · 30/12/2022 18:26

No scent at all, which makes me think it might be quite a new variety.

I really want to grow it in my garden, it’s wonderful for flower arrangements.

I think it might be this one, Amnesia the colour in my photo is not very accurate. I'm not sure if you can buy it to grow though.

Wow, that is extraordinary but in a good way.

Try Google image search, loads of options there. Here’s some

Looks the wrong flower shape for CocoLoco, but I am not sure what it actually is.

Cafe latte seems the most likely to me.

I'm showing my age, but I hope Brut has a great smell.

ProtectorExtraordinaryOfTheCantonsOfNim · 03/01/2023 14:49

Did he buy it from a bricks and mortar florist? You could ask them, if so.

TonTonMacoute · 06/01/2023 12:42

I have finally been able to get into town and visit the florist. We had a lovely chat, and she told me it was Cappuccino

As I thought, they are grown mainly for wholesale to florists, so I'm not sure I would be able to buy a plant. But DH often buys bouquets for me from this florist so I'm sure I will be seeing it again sometime again in future!

Thanks for the ideas @Whatevergetsyouthroughthenight some lovely alternatives in that selection too.

Try growing a cutting if you still have you bouquet! They root surprisingly easily.

prettybird · 06/01/2023 14:18

I know it's not specifically a Cappucino rose plant but this is very similar and is scented Smile
