Dame Debbie Rose - Help needed

I purchased a Dame Debbie rose earlier this year and it has been delivered this week. Its roots were wrapped in cling film with short prickly branches. I’ve planted this into a pot (it’s temporary location until I find the pot I want for Christmas).

As I’m a complete novice with gardening I don’t know if I need to leave this newly planted rose outside in the elements, outside but sheltered or store indoors in a cooler room until worst of winter is over.

Please can you wonderful green thumb mumsnetters offer some advice for me.

Don't bring it indoors, it will have been grown outdoors all its life, and been dug up from a field very recently. Somewhere fairly sheltered outdoors would be ideal.

Thank you, I’ve got a good spot for it in a sheltered place.

Once the temperature is about freezing in the daytime (ideally above above about 2 degrees), make sure to water it, too. You don't need to water very often, but plants do die from lack of water when it's very cold, and you won't have watered it in.
