How easy is it to add a border edge with block paving?

Want to extend my border where it meets the lawn and thinking it would look better with some paving blocks to separate lawn from border. Is it easy to do for a complete novice or should I get a gardener to do it? Any fool proof tricks to get it to look better? Would be slightly curved too.

I was debating whether I needed to use concrete (could I get away with sand bed only) but reading about 'haunching' I can see it would stop it moving. May need to point betweein the bricks too - never done this. Will read more on that website.
