Could someone please tell me what these two plants are that have grown from some top soil I was given earlier in the year.

Dill and nicotiana I think.

Second one is definitely nicotania- is this one below. The leaves should have a slightly sticky feel and a musky smell (I love it!). The flowers smell lovely too.

First one looks a lot like dill. Good for attracting ladybirds to eat any aphids!

Fennel and dill, Nicotiana sylvestris. Def. Nicotiana, and sylvestris from the very long flowers.

Thank you, I thought as much but needed to be sure. Yes one tastes like dill. Both look stunning in the flower bed along with several petunias that grew from the tonne of top soil used to make a flower bed.
