What is this big bush / shrub thing please?

Does it flower?
Shape is a bit like my philadelphus

The only time I can see it is from the window I'm afraid so that's the best pic I can get. It's just the sort of thing I want, it's grown fast, is evergreen, and swooshes nicely! No flowers I've been able to spot, but that would be a bonus!

If you're not complaining about it, knock on their door and ask. If they're gardeners they'll tell you what it is, and if they're not they'll probably let you take closer pictures of it which will enable an easier identification 😁

@LBOCS2 that's a good shout actually! Not complaining at all! I wish more people would plant big stuff here! On a new build estate where everyone seems to love fence, lawn, and nothing else! I'm furiously planting to try and screen everyone else out 😂

I thought it was a forsythia from the pic, before you mentioned it’s evergreen. Mine grows shockingly quickly and in that shape. But they lose their leaves in winter.

I’d have said portuguese laurel, especially if it’s grown fast. It will grow anywhere and fast! Doesn’t flower though
