This plant has self seeded in my garden in a place which is about to be put to another use.

I would like to put them elsewhere in the garden.

I've dug them up and have been putting them in pots, but would I be better off putting them in their final location rather than putting them in pots first?

Thanks.

I've just dug them up in the past when I've had too many and given them to family and friends. Some people kept them in my pots for a while, others planted them in their gardens. All of the plants survived, even the mature clump that overwintered in a carrier bag. (I'm in the south east, lol). I love them.
