I want to grow a plant with lots if berries that birds might want to eat. Ideally something that might grow over a wall. Any ideas? - thank you

Pyracantha berries are loved by garden birds and can be trained up walls so that would be a start. Ivy also great for many birds.

Ivy is great for pollinators as well because it flowers in january when there's not much else around. An all-round winner for wildlife - but terrible for the gardener! Be aware that if you plant it, you are committing to battling with it every year to keep it under control. It wants to engulf EVERYTHING.

Look at lists of native plants for inspiration - they've evolved catering to native wildlife.
