Rosa Kiftsgate not flowered at all - dig it up?

As the title, my rose hasn't flowered at all this year, I bought it 2 years ago.

However, it has grown massively which I wanted it to do, but no buds no flowers, just leaves, and very vigorous stems. I'm guessing the soil is ok as it is so green.

I wanted it to grow mad, heavy with flowers, but zilch. I had this romantic vision of it growing through my old apple tree Ha!
Have fed it, watered it etc.

Do I just cut down to the ground now, or dig it up, or leave it be, put somewhere else? I won't be able to dig it up without getting cut to pieces, as its very vicious.

It is in dappled sunlight, not full sun all day.

I so wanted this rose to work...
thanks for any assistance.

No don’t dig it up based on this year-this year has been extraordinary!

Prune it and give it a chance next year.

Is it getting enough sunlight?

In my experience, it won’t flower until it has reached the top of the tree and is cascading down.

you could try kidding it that it has reached the top by bending its stems over in an arc, as if they were unsupported.

As MereD says. you can fool it. but give it time.
