Plant for full sun

WhiskeyInTheJar33 · 24/07/2022 17:41

I have a small space for a plant in a border that is in the sun from early morning to around 5pm.

Ideally grows no bigger than 1m x 1m.

Any suggestions?

Bonus for evergreen with summer colour/flowers.

Convolvulus cneorum - beautiful leaves that look like beaten silver, and white trumpet flowers all summer. Yes, related to bindweed, but grows as a low shrub, and not invasive! They really like heat and sun.

What is around it? Do you want something roundish shaped? What colours?

Agapanthus
Salvias- wonderful blackcurrant scented leaves
Roses, a beautifully scented one?

I’d go for a Salvia. There are lots of gorgeous colours, e.g.

I have a lavender and fuschia either side of the gap. Not fussed with shape or colour.

Thanks. I have 2 salvias already, one of my favourites. I will look at others.

Maybe a nice hebe or a rosemary if you want evergreen.
