I have plants growing in my garden and I would like to identify them. My app I don't think is right.

That looks like bindweed to me, not something you want to be having!

PestorPeston · 21/07/2022 18:56

Yep, looks like bindweed.

Libre2 · 21/07/2022 18:59

Yep bindweed. Really not something to encourage but if you’ve got it you’ve got it - it’s an absolute bugger to get rid of. I speak from bitter experience. We also have it in our garden 😭

Oh yes, bindweed. Pretty and an absolute nuisance.

MereDintofPandiculation · 21/07/2022 20:45

Have you smelt it? It has a beautiful scent

MereDintofPandiculation · 21/07/2022 20:49

By the way, this is Field bindweed, Convolvulus arvensis, not the much larger Hedge bindweed, Calystegia sepium

It's on the verge outside my house. I thought it looked pretty. Council have been this month and mowed most of it away.

Can anyone identify this one?

That looks like a seedling Hellebore. Well worth having!

KellynchHall · 22/07/2022 10:19

Thank you! That's great because I have a few!

from the looks of the leaf shape, they look like seedings of the larger white Hellebore that has multiple white blooms on one stalk. They bloom around February and last a long time. Mine seed freely in poor soil, but are lovely when little else is flowering. Mere will know the official name.
