Sand and moss uses

Hi,

newbie to plants and gardening here. I bought a bag of horticultural sand and moss repot my Venus fly trap. I’ve got loads left but no idea what I can do with it. The sand will keep but I imagine the moss will dry out.

any idea what I can use it for in the garden or an interesting plant that will also go in a sand/moss mix

thank you

Moss will rehydrate. Bryologists (people who study mosses) keep their samples in little paper envelopes, knowing that any time they want to study them, they can just spray them with water and they’ll rehydrate. So just keep it,in a paper rather than plastic bag, until a use turns up for it.
