No need to worry about it unless either you or your neighbours have grazing animals. Contrary to widespread belief, it’s not “notifiable”, and you are allowed to grow it on your own land. It’s the main foodplant of the cinnabar moth and host to other invertebrates. And it’s a UK native, not an alien.
