What have you got in your borders that is beautiful and low maintenance?

I’ve got:

Geum
Roses
Hyderagea
Red robin bush
Sage

Stuff that hasn’t been successful:

Lupins
Echinacea
Dicentra

(all eaten by something)

Thanks

Gaillardia (Blanket flower). Grew yellow ones from Poundland seeds last year & they flowered first year and are great this year. Got reds ones this year & they are looking even better although in the first year.

The sweet Williams that I saved from the B&Q doom section last year have survived & are amazing this year.

New England Asters are almost indestructible.

Helenium, Phlox, Garden Loostrife, Perennial Lobelia, Hellebore

MrsBertBibby · 28/06/2022 21:54

Penstemon
Perovskia
Sidalcea
Nepeta (bee and cat magnet)
Foxgloves

Also, aliums, and especially, nectaroscordum siculum. Nectaroscordum is so much fun, the moment it opens it is mobbed by bumbles, it is magical.

Volterra · 28/06/2022 21:56

Sedum Autumn Joy, Erysium Bowles mauve and Mexican fleabane.

For me:

Hardy geranium
