Bees and/or Butterflies

Hello, not much of a gardener but I try. I have a 1.5 by 0.5 planter that I'm going to dig out turf against a brick wall and put in soil/compost. Again excuse my ignorance, but I like the idea of an area that would help nature by either helping butterflies or/and bees. I'm in the west coast of Scotland, Glasgow. Alternatively a wild seed bomb? I appreciate your time and expertise 🐝 🦋 🌸

A butterfly bush would work well. They are very hardy too so you can pretty much neglect it! Also lavender too, which is again really easy to grow

Wilkos ( and other shops ) usually have packs of seeds specifically for flowers that bees and butterflies like for £2 or so , have a look there
butterflies love buddleia , but that might get a bit too big for your space
