Garden lopper recommendations

Can anyone recommend any particular style or size for garden loppers? I'm looking for something a bit heavier duty than my secateurs for chopping woodier branches. I've seen some 38cm non-branded loppers on Amazon that seem to have good reviews. Is that size ok?

Thank you!

Wilkinson sword do excellent ones. We've bought several from their range.

I've got a large range of loppers, from wilco specials to the long fiskars ones that are 8ft long, and as long as you look after them and don't leave them out in the rain most loppers will do the job if they are designed for that diameter cut. Personally I like the large ratchet ones that do 40mm but equally am happy for bog standard 20mm basic loppers for hooking round the garden for smaller stuff.

That's very helpful thank you

38cm is small. I cant imagine them doing very much better than secateurs. Id be looking for 60cm min. Mine are closer to 100cm.
