Tulips and carrots

Following on from old tulip bulb thread, and planning for NEXT year, if I plant tulip bulbs in a container (I have an old kerbside recycling box) can I then plant carrots in the same container after the tulips have gone over?

By “same container” I take it you mean without removing the tulips or changing the soil?

Yes. Same container.

So when the tulip leaves die back, can I then use the same container to then plant carrots (or radish, lettuce) leaving the tulip bulbs in situ at the bottom?

I could replace some of the soil/compost as required.

Yes, but it would be better to change soil.
