Hi, can anyone help me to identify this flower please? It was in a bouquet of organic British flowers and I love it and would really like to have a go at growing it myself.

It has gone over now, but when the flowers were out they had a pinkish tinge. It sort of looks like an allium, but looser.

Any ideas? Thank you.

Looks like a white agapanthus.

LeNil · 20/06/2022 07:23

I was going to say agapanthus too!

Foxfeeder · 20/06/2022 07:35

Is it this?

Swanhilde · 20/06/2022 07:55

I have seen those Foxfeeder, and did wonder. And agapanthus is a good shout, I had thought they were too dainty, but I will have a Google. My Farmer Gracey basket is getting full!

Many thanks.

Allium bulgaricum

Foxfeeder · 20/06/2022 08:46

I also thought Tritelia but I think of them as blue - however, there’s a pink version

LeNil · 20/06/2022 09:52

Tritelia is lovely. I’m going to find some space in my garden to plant some!

Foxfeeder · 20/06/2022 12:31

I saw them for the first time last year and thought they were Agapanthus. Planted some bulbs (mine are blue and came in a pack of 50 so I’ve popped them in a few places) and they are so very close to flowering 😊

Hopefully they will continue flowering until my Agapanthus start.

LovelaceBiggWither · 20/06/2022 12:34

Agapanthus is denser than that isn't it? Larger flower heads with them closer together?

Swanhilde · 20/06/2022 16:48

Thank you all so much - lots to investigate. And even if they're not what I had in the bouquet, they are all beautiful flowers
