Driveway repair/ improvement

Such a boring topic, but necessary.

Our driveway is concrete that's past it's best- it's eroded in some patches and has large gaps which were once mortared but now have weeds in. We can't afford to tarmac it all as it's massive. It's also on a slope so gravelling isn't an option. My questions are:

Has anyone used a product that was wonderful for repointing gaps if I dig said weeds out?

Has anyone used any other tricks/products/ methods to improve the look of a past-it's-best driveway?

Thanks in advance

Replace the weeds by low growing more attractive plants? Creeping thymes for example

Another one watching this.

I had looked into the pre-mixed tubs of concrete at B&Q but the range of products put me off.

There is a tarmac one too that might be enough to fix the patch we have so any recommendations or reviews welcome.
