What is this in my birdbath?

Can’t figure out if it’s a living thing or just manky peanuts dropped in by birds…

Dunno, but........ ugh.

Scoop it out, give the birdbath a bit of a clean and fill it with fresh water.

Are they peanut sized?

Thanks all, I’ve cleaned it out now. Didn’t know birds poo whole nuts!

I think it's peanuts that have been dropped in there. Most birds peck at the peanuts in a feeder so eat them in bits, rather than swallow them whole, I think?

Squirrels and jays can take whole nuts

I'd guess bird poo with cherry or plum stones in it.

Looks like pooed out cherry stones.
