How much to pay for hedge cutting

Really struggling to keep on top of my front hedge. It's a 10 minute job but my back isn't good. How much should I offer to pay the local tradesman - 3x a year? Can't find a going rate. Thanks.

10 minute job using your tools and you dispose of the trimmings - £20. If they are using their own tools and are taking the waste away, then probably more.

I pay £25 for two hedges to be cut (both long and one is very tall) and lawn mowing, they also deal with any weeds on the drive/paths and prune a few bushes and keep borders basically tidy. I could do no gardening myself and it would look neat and tidy.

I have them fortnightly in the growing season, I used to try to do it myself sometimes but struggled with the hedges and found it's hard to get someone to come on a more ad hoc basis, they are usually busy with regular customers and you'll pay more per cut.

Thank you both.

If you have your own tools ask them to use those to avoid bringing diseases into your garden
