Anemone or weed?

App says anemone. I’m not so sure!! Please ignore blue gardening gloves - I’m honestly not a Smurf.

yes, looks like japanese anemone to me.
flowers quite late (july/august).
bees love it.
can be a bit of a thug.

I'm going to plump for anemone - the tall autumn flowering Japanese one.

Thanks. Yes at the back of the bed there is more, and it’s chewing through a dicentra which is finishing. It’s very shaded up this end of the garden (wooded, really) and I’m wondering if it will actually flower at all.

second summer and I don’t recall if flowering last year.

I've got something that looks like that in my garden, it's doubled in height in the last few weeks.

Japanese anemone. So beautiful, I love them. Must buy more in fact.
