What’s this? (Ignore yellow petals - they have fallen from laburnum above).

The leaves are wet (not naturally shiny). It keeps getting through the fence from our next door neighbours garden.

Alder?

ouch12345 · 26/05/2022 22:39

Looks like a blackberry bush to me?

Verbena87 · 26/05/2022 22:40

Brambles? Is it prickly?

VanGoghsDog · 26/05/2022 22:40

Just a bramble.

Brambles

Looks like blackberry/brambles to me. They're rampant. Hacking them back repeatedly is the only way, unless you really like blackberries. Everywhere.

Brambles. Will spread. Very dominant. Tough roots in hard to reach places

NoSquirrels · 27/05/2022 08:20

As everyone says, brambles. If it’s left undisturbed you’ll have blackberries - and a horrible no-go thorny patch. Just keep hacking back.
