Grass seed and pigeons!

Evening wise gardeners.
our lawn is quite patchy so I have sowed some seed. Area of lawn is roughly 25 square metres.
We put some bright plastic bags on the washing line and hanging at various points in the garden but the pigeons don’t seem deterred by them AT ALL!
what can I do to stop the pesky seed thieves?!
i have tried some decoy feed on the patio but they eat that and then go back to the grass seed.
thanks in advance

netting Staked over the lawn? We had to do that when we did ours because the cat took a liking to the compost we’d put on the bare patches!

I heard that they don’t like the dazzle of shiny things, that’s why people use those free CD’s we used to get in magazines. You should be able to pick a handful up from the charity shop cheaply.

plastic bird of prey?

Thank you. We have gone for the cd’s, tied on to fishing line so they look like they’re floating!
pigeons staying well away.
thanks again
