What's eating my rhubarb

Hello all,

Can anyone help identify what is eating my rhubarb? What can I do about it?

Any tips gratefully received from a novice gardener!

Could be something eating it, but looks more like a disease causing dead patches which then develop into holes. The plant looks healthy enough, so I wouldn’t worry too much. Perhaps don’t put the leaves on the compost heap.

Remember rhubarb is a greedy feeder so mulch it each year. Healthy plants, like healthy humans, have a good capacity to shrug off all sorts of minor ailments.

This is a new plant bought from a garden centre. I hope it survives.
