Possibly fleabane, OP?

Babdoc · 18/05/2022 16:12

Actually no, sorry, your leaves are too jagged to be that!

Milk thistle?

RatherBeRiding · 18/05/2022 16:24

Is it sow thistle?

onitlikeacarbonnet · 18/05/2022 16:35

Looks like some kind of thistle but I’m not an expert; just Scottish 😁

Thanks for the suggestions. It looks rather like a sow thistle, but I think those flowers are yellow? The ones on this plant are like fried eggs - yellow on the inside and white on the outside.

It’s a sow thistle, Sonchus oleraceus rather than Sonchus asper I think. It’s in the daisy family, so each “flower” is in fact a head of dozens of flowers, each “petal” being actually a complete flower. The outside flowers do look paler than the ones in the centre.

Thank you. I Googled Sonchus oleraceus, and that's the closest image I've seen. (I also Googled 'pandiculation' Grin.)
