Greenfly on rose bush climber

Hi,

My neighbours have a climbing rose bush that finds its way through our fence. Not bothered by it as I cut it back as needed. Noticed that it’s covered in greenfly and wonder if I can do anything. Not really wanting my waste bin full of greenfly. Just washed it out the other day!

Thanks in advance

I would just spray it. You can either buy a premixed spray (child and animal friend versions are available) from the garden centre.

Or you can mix a weak solution of water and washing up liquid and wipe the buds and leaves over with this.

I've just been blasting mine with a hose, it doesn't seem to have done any damage and the greenfly have gone!

This is what I do - it works!

Even better. I’ll get our toddler onto that!
