Are these going to die?

My Brussel Sprouts grown from seed are growing but are very very weak at the point the stem meets the soil. Are they doomed?

I'm guessing it's too late to sow more so am I best to call in at a garden centre to see if they have any sprout plants?

Thank you!

Look fine to me

Oh hang on, can you get a clearer pic of the bit of the stem which worries you?

allgoneaway · 15/05/2022 10:45

@Basilbrushgotfat are you able to see all three pics? I can get another pic. Thanks for helping

The rest of the plant is growing well, it just has trouble standing up

If this happens to my seedlings I very gently transplant to a ne pot making sure the compost comes yp to just below the first set of true leaves. You can cover the two tiny seed leaves at the very bottom. You can sometimes get away with just adding more compost to the pot it is in, just be very gentle whichever way you shoose to do it.

There’s no-sign of rot. They’ll be fine.
