Grass with pink tinge to the flower - help identifying

Sorry, another plant id question.

I bought this earlier in the year and have lost the label. It is a grass and its leaves look pretty much like most other grasses (to me!). But I'm very impressed by its lovely punky flowers - does anyone recognise?

Ah, sorted. I think it is Squirrel Grass/ Foxtail Barley (Hordeum Jubatum).

🙂 So glad you posted. I thought it looked like a Hordeum, but without enough certainty to post. I didn’t know Hordeum was used asan ornamental. Our native Hordeum murinum is the thing school kids used to drop down people’s necks because a) it’s itchy and b) the bristles mean it can only go one way, you can’t just shrug it back up and get rid of it

@MereDintofPandiculation Yes I remember those. These are more delicate but definitely a member of the Hordeum family. Very pretty though I'm guessing they will self-seed like crazy ...!
