Hello - I am not a good gardener! Things tend to die!

I want to have a couple of pots in front of my heating unit to screen it a bit. Can anyone suggest a foolproof plant , that is also kind to the purse?

thank you so much !

how tall would they need to be & does the unit pump out fumes etc?

How about some pots with trellis around the area with the unit?
Argos do something with a trough at the bottom and some trellis so lots of climbers can go in there. Jasmines, clematis , etc.
I have a similar issue and was thinking of bamboo but lots don't do well in pots ( but have also been wanted not to plant bamboo straight into the ground as it takes over )

You could plant rosemary in large pots. Evergreen, grows easily, attracts bees, you can eat it, very cheap to grow and replace if it dies back.

I have planted bamboo in pots and they needed to be thinned out so now have 4 pots not 2!! Bonus. May I suggest you look at a popular supermarket beginning with M? Plants are very good quality from there ime!!
