Bought this pot of so-called "striped grass" at a charity sale and wondering what it is (photo 1).
I originally thought Miscanthus 'Morning Light' but now that I've got it home and compared it to my other two (photos 2&3. Excuse the weeds!) I'm not quite sure. The potted grass is more papery thin and soft feeling, my miscanthus in the garden has a bit more of a rigid feel in each blade. The one in the pot also looks a little paler. All three are growing in the same way, more growth on outer edges, more dead stuff in the middle.
Any ideas? Some kind of carex?
Or is it miscanthus but just perhaps my garden ones are tougher having gone through a winter etc (not sure what growing conditions the potted one had been in).
Many thanks

Anyway despite various attempts it seems I won't be able to attach any photos here to show you.

But is there a grass that looks the same as Miscanthus Morning Light at this time of year? They're about 10-20cm high at the moment.
