Scented, trailing plant for a large container

I have an annoyingly placed drain cover in my front garden that I’m thinking of covering with a large container. Could any wise MNers suggest something with a bit of wow factor that is scented and trailing that I could put in there? It’s an open corner plot facing south to the front and east to the side, so gets a decent amount of sun. I was originally thinking of a gardenia, thinking I could take advantage of the fact that the plant is in a container to grow something a bit more tender, but I don’t think these are trailing. Any suggestions gratefully received!

A ground cover rose? Many are recommended for growing in containers.

Not especially trailing but if you don’t have cars or dogs then heliotrope smells lovely. It’s very toxic though so I grow mine in little hanging pots and keep them away from the dog.
