Has anyone had their garden landscaped recently? Interested in the cost as we are looking for quotes.

How big is your garden? Is it level or sloped?
Will it require much clearance work? Are you needing be fences?

What do you want done? Hard landscaping? Porcelain? Natural stone? Raised beds? Paths?.decking? Composite or wood? Planting?

Do you have a design already? Do you want high end?

Ours is very small, cost £18k to put in paving round new 3xtension, hard standing for a greenhouse, put in a small retaining wall, put up 5 metres of lollipop fence. I was shocked but it’s transformed how we use the garden.

DS has just had a quote of £11000 for a tiny bit of paving and a path.

I think that it may be a trendy new name for an old concept.
It seems that a lollipop fence is a picket fence with the pickets rounded off (like lollipop sticks) as opposed to square-edged, pointed, etc.

This is the garden we would like something low maintenance. Flags and turf or artificial grass. We have just had garden extended due to new housing estate.

We've had quotes ranging from £9.5k to £15k recently. I'm pausing to reconsider what we actually want as it's more than I expected.
