What’s eating my Laurel?

Hi,

I am an absolute novice on the garden. Young cherry laurels look like they’ve been eaten by something. Does anyone know what this is and how I can save them? Sad

Any tips much appreciated!

Looks like caterpillars to me! Harmless ways to get rid of them are wrapping the pot in tin foil or creating a garlic solution to spray on the plant.

Will try the garlic solution! Thank you

It can also be a bacterial shot hole, cut off the offending leaves and try and ignore!
The bacteria get into the leave then infect a circle of leaf that pops out to leave a all hole with a burned edge, hence shot hole.
