Hi there, does anybody recognise either of these 2 plants at all please?

First one is definitely self-seeded so I have no idea if I should leave it or pull it up.

Second one I planted a couple of years ago, and it’s now gone rampant - wondering if I could/should split it out.

Thank you.

First one looks like lords and ladies. Gives white lily type flowers and red berries which are poisonous. I let it grow in some places but not where children might get their hands on it.

My guess for nr 2 would be this: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ajuga_reptans

The second one looks like bugle to me - also called ajuga reptans. A good ground cover, if you want such a thing! It puts up quite pretty spikes of purple flowers.

I put the second one through my plant ID app and it came up as his

Cuckoo pint and bugle

Thanks all for the really helpful replies. Will carefully remove plant no 1 and do some research on the best time of year to split plant no 2.

Bugle puts out runners which are easy to detach with their own roots.
