Bedding plants which snails won't eat

Planning ahead here and I'm after any tips on plug plants / bedding for pots (on the ground & hung on the fence) which won't be devoured by slugs and snails.... petunias were all eaten last summer.

I have found begonias are left alone - the snails/slugs seem to hide under foliage but not eat the leaves or the flowers. The same with pelargoniums.
Other plants grown in pots without any issues...
Hardy geraniums, lady's mantle, lavender, nepeta, foxglove, daylily, stonecrop sedum, agapanthus, alliums.
