I can’t find the tag for this one. It’s about 80cm round and gets blue flowers in the summer. Any ideas please? Google app says it’s a thistle 🤣

The dried seed heads look like echinops

Not sure the leaves match with that though, been ages since I had one and think the echinops leaves were bigger

It’s Ceratostigma willmottianum. A low growing shrub with beautiful blue flowers in late summer to autumn. I have one too!

Ceratostigma plumbagnoides

SockFluffInTheBath · 13/04/2022 10:13

@PollyPutTheKettleOnKettleOn it’s not echinops (I have those elsewhere) but thank you.

Yeah the leaves on echinops are spikey/jagged (whatever the correct term is!). They also die back in winter.
