Wisteria question

Are these Wisteria flower buds?

It didn't flower last year, a neighbour gave it to us as she couldn't find a good spot for it so I have no idea if it will flower.

It does look like it. My wisteria looks the same. Such a lovely plant when in bloom

bilbodog · 07/04/2022 10:41

Sorry - i think they are leaves. It will probably take 2-3 years before flowers come - hang on in there!

Davethecat2001 · 07/04/2022 10:45

Bugger.. I was getting all excited there!

They are flower buds, white flowers.
The leaf buds are still tiny because flowers come out first.

Davethecat2001 · 07/04/2022 10:50

Ooh so it will flower white not lilac?

I think they are white buds too. Mine is purple. Just took a photo for you. Everything in my garden is always slower to flower than elsewhere ie. A few weeks lag.

Yes that is definitely a flower bud and seems to be white.

Question! I have wisteria seeds? A neighbour gave them to my mum for me. Will they work, should I plant them? Propagate?

If you, let me know how you get on. I keep thinking I ought to try mine. But they may take years to flower.

Have you seen the seedpods? Deliciously soft and velvety

Wisteria update! It appears the flowers are purple, not white!

V excited! 😁
