It was doing so well but now it’s fronds are dying and the soils moist so I’m thinking i overwatered?

Can anyone identify this white stuff on my indoor palm please?

Difficult to see clearly, but looks like some kind of bug. You could try spraying with a little washing up liquid diluted in water, and then wiping the stems to remove it, and see if that helps. Palms don’t like to be over watered, so only water when the pot has dried out.

I think it’s mealy bug, but I am not sure. I can’t tell from the photos whether it’s something on top of the leaves or within the leaves. If you try to remove it, can you scrape it off?

It might be a scale insect. I got rid of them by wiping the plant all over with warm water/washing up liquid/few drops of olive oil on cotton wool every month.

I’ll wipe and buy some bug killer to nuke the little blighters.

Thank you.
