What do you think is eating my geraniums?

When I say geraniums, they are hardy geraniums or cranesbill. Up to a certain point in the garden they are unstoppable, beyond that point it gets a bit wilder and something is just chomping whole leaves. So not a worm/moth/larvae as suggested online. I'm reasonably content to share the garden with creatures, but I am intrigued.

Pigeons will pull leaves off plants to eat, just leaving the stalks - is that a possibility?.. (I'm not sure if they are partial to hardy geraniums).

I couldn't say it wasn't pigeons. I've never seen them at it.

Maybe slugs or snails, they love damp areas,

Slugs and snails dislike hardy geraniums and are very unlikely to eat them.

For my mine, it is either deer or rabbits. They are not supposed to be tasty for either, but at this time of the year, they are still fresh and green

Think rabbits sounds most likely, although I've never seen any roundabout. Deer is possible as the garden backs onto railway line where we have seen deer, but I think we would see foot prints/hoof prints. Thinking of getting a trailcam now.
