Irrigation system for large kitchen garden

Could anyone recommend the best way to build a watering system for a largish kitchen garden which is somewhat spread out.
Have number of raised beds in different areas and all manner of fruit bushes all about.
We'll be going away couple of times this summer and can't possibly ask neighbours to do the watering, takes good hour.
Don't want to lose all my lovely plantlets to thirst either 😳

Can you put in a drip system with a timer?

Also, how long are you going for? If it's just for a couple of weeks, then a heavy watering and then putting down a moisture retaining mulch would help.

Buried hosepipe with holes punched in, connected to water butt with its tap just partially on.

Thank you all, soaker hose and buried pipe are options, think a deep, through watering might be the best and easiest though, unless we have a mighty heat wave.
